We are looking for a MES Solution Architect to join our team. The goal of an MES Solution Architect at Wisk is to ensure that our MES system is well implemented and maintained to support the production & manufacturing of our Aircraft. You will be part of the CMES team that is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing MES solutions using Siemens OpCenter to meet manufacturing requirements. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems to enhance operational efficiency.

This is a hybrid work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our Mountain View office 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days.

What You Will Do

As part of the UAS Production organization, and deployed in an CMES team you will act as a MES Solution Architect for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market Work closely with clients to analyze manufacturing processes, identify requirements, and translate them into technical specifications. Architect and design OpCenter MES solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and manufacturing processes. Lead the configuration, customization, and deployment of OpCenter MES, including system setup, workflows, and data integration. Oversee and perform in some cases system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, to ensure solution reliability and compliance. Develop training materials and conduct sessions for end-users; provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting. Collaborate with IT, Production and Manufacturing operations teams to integrate OpCenter MES with ERP, PLM (Teamcenter), SCADA, and other enterprise systems. Support the design of the integration of Opcenter MES with PLM (Teamcenter) and ERP systems by working with PLM Team. Provide guidance on best practices, system scalability, and performance optimization to project teams and stakeholders. Become familiar with the Configuration Management policies and principles applied at Wisk. Create detailed solution architecture documents, configuration guides, and operational manuals. Stay updated on OpCenter MES advancements and propose enhancements to existing deployments.

Requirements

BS/MS degree in any Engineering/Technology field with 12+ years of experience in MES implementation, with at least 3 years focused on Siemens OpCenter (Core/Discrete) MES (formerly Camstar or Simatic IT). Experience with Opcenter architecture (Web app, REST services, messaging queue & Database) and supporting technology stack such as HTML5, JavaScript, OData, RabbitMQ. Proficiency in Mendix development, including building workflows, microflows, and custom UI components for MES. Experience integrating Opcenter with external systems such as PLM using T4CEP/CN4T and familiar with ERP using REST APIs or SQL Queries. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Desired

Experience with Opcenter modules and defining related business processes: Manufacturing, Event management, NCRs, Training & Qualification management, Tooling & Calibration management. Knowledge and exposure to Siemens Teamcenter (EasyPlan or MPP). Proven track record of delivering complex MES projects in manufacturing environments (e.g.. Aerospace, automotive, electronics). Understanding of database management (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle). Familiarity with manufacturing standards (e.g., ISA-95, Industry 4.0). Experience with scripting languages such as Python, TCL etc.

Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $188,568 - $221,844 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
