The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.
Position Summary: The DCCC is seeking an experienced Organizing Director to work on competitive congressional races for the 2026 cycle. The National Organizing Director will work closely with DCCC Senior Leadership and is responsible for developing and managing the committee’s national organizing strategy. This person will be responsible for managing the Organizing department, including the programmatic and departmental budget, and will be the liaison to partners and allies who lead organizing efforts in targeted Congressional districts.
Manage the Organizing Department, ensuring a cohesive, district-specific program is designed, resourced, and executed effectively;
Hire, onboard, and manage a Deputy Organizing Director and regional organizing staff with experience across various levels of campaigns;
Develop and design a cohesive and effective national organizing strategy;
Advise congressional campaigns on how to effectively invest in building, scaling and managing their own organizing operations using campaign funds;
Act as the primary liaison to organizing counterparts at the DNC, DSCC, and DGA to align and keep track on targeting, resource deployment, and strategic priorities;
Map and track the organizing ecosystem in target districts in order to maximize resources and efforts;
Manage departmental budgets, including allocations to district programs, staff, training, and infrastructure;
Designing and implementing field, voter contact, and training programs;
Working with the Committee’s Analytics department to implement strategic direct voter contact;
Working with the Committee’s Data Ops team to set national data standards and design reports needed to track progress of district-specific organizing programs;
Working with the Engagement team to ensure culturally competent organizing strategies and messaging, including in-language tactics;
Working with the Digital Director to ensure programmatic cohesion and aligned use of voter contact tools;
Work to develop strong relationships with local stakeholders and constituency groups, including state party leaders and members, local grassroots organizations and activists, and partner and allied groups;
Hire and manage Organizing and Field vendors, including leading any organizing vendor RFP process;
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
At least three cycles of organizing experience including two cycles of managing an organizing program;
Significant staff management and training experience;
Past budget management experience required;
Experience with vote by mail, online organizing, early vote and running strong Election Day GOTV efforts;
Proficiency in VAN, Excel, and reporting systems;
Experience in PDI a plus;
Strong communication and critical thinking skills, and a commitment to teamwork;
A great and flexible attitude for a dynamic, campaign-like environment and pace;
