North American Sales Manager, Medical Polymers
Join our innovative Medical Solutions team as a North American Sales Manager. We are seeking a dynamic leader who is passionate about driving sales growth, developing high-performing teams, and fostering strong customer relationships in the medical solutions market. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence and achieving our strategic growth targets.
What You Will Do
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Foster a collaborative and motivating environment, setting clear expectations and providing continuous feedback and support.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement robust sales strategies to expand market share for medical solutions.
Drive revenue and deliver expected margins while ensuring continued profitable growth of our product and service portfolio.
Collaborate with segment managers to identify business opportunities and align resources to win at an above-market rate.
Key Account Management:
Own and support key accounts while being accountable for driving sustainable top-line revenue and profitable growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring superior customer service, best-in-class fulfillment of customer needs, and drive long-term business success.
Execute strategies to serve and grow current business, gain competitive market share, and develop new opportunities.
Act as the voice of the customer within the organization to ensure superior customer experience.
Coordinate resources across marketing, product, engineering, and operational organizations to ensure best-in-class fulfillment of customers’ needs and completion of customer projects.
Market Analysis & Business Development:
Develop and maintain a view of market dynamics in the industry, including ongoing evaluation of competitive intensity and opportunities to create new value.
Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and product development teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and product innovation.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Lead development of annual sales plans and long-term forecasts by site, customer, and product SKU.
Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
Adjust strategies and tactics based on performance data and market feedback to ensure continuous improvement and success.
What You Need
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams and achieving sales targets, preferably in the medical device industry.
Experience in managing key accounts and driving growth through strategic account management.
Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and negotiating abilities.
Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
Capable of building positive relationships and effectively managing stakeholders across multiple functions and geographic regions.
Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools.
Other Requirements:
Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.
