How Your Role Will Shape Our Success
You possess extensive knowledge of parking operations and technology, including PARCS, APGS, Operations, and on-street tech. As a proficient communicator, both verbally and in writing, and an expert user of Microsoft Office software, you will oversee and ensure the excellence of parking operations and technology projects. Your objective is to enhance service delivery to Walker’s clients while upholding project financial performance.

What You’ll Do
Project Work: 75%-80% of weekly time:
Be the face of Walker for projects under management and be a trusted resource for other Walker project managers who may have parking technology needs in their projects.
Take leadership in developing and setting project requirements.
Understand and communicate project requirements to the project team.
Establish a quality plan and implement the project plan, including project budget, staffing requirements, and schedule.
Assist in selecting outside consultants for approval by others.
Manage activities of professional and support staff assigned to the project team.
Coordinate the collection of all data pertinent to the project.
Develop preliminary design or other information.
Develop performance specifications to meet project requirements.
Coordinate with Walker drafting technicians to develop drawings that meet project requirements.
Coordinate the development and distribution of project deliverables.
Coordinate and schedule advisory meetings and quality control reviews.
Monitor the project budget and schedule and act to correct discrepancies.
Implement the quality plan for each project.
Negotiate additional fees for additional services.
Complete and maintain all project documentation.
Manage monthly billings and participate in establishing revenue projections.
Manage project receivables and participate in A/R review meetings as needed.
Assist in peer/office reviews of other projects.
Conduct project close-out procedures, including developing fact sheets and references, organizing project files and correspondence, developing client follow-up plans, and lessons learned.
Keep the Director informed as to the status of the project.
Research and Development: 5% -10% of weekly time:
Recommend and prepare technical standards, templates, etc., and provide technical expertise at the request of the Director.
Participate in local office meetings, practice meetings, and study groups.
Assist in the ongoing training of other consultants and analysts
Marketing: 10%-15% of weekly time:
Maintain relationships with existing and past clients. Create records of marketing activities.
Develop additional service requests (from Walker’s full suite of services) from existing and former clients.
Participate in interviews for new business as requested.
Establish new relationships with assigned contacts or entities.
Establishing project budgets for new projects.
Develop proposals for new work as requested internally and externally.
Coordinate with local marketing staff to respond to RFP’s for new work, as assigned.
Maintain activity in appropriate professional organizations, write articles, and make presentations to organizations on topics of interest to the industry.
What You Bring
Education Requirements:
3 - 5 years demonstrated proficiency as a parking operations and technology consultant, OR
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an appropriate field and 5-10 years total experience in a relevant field.
Other Requirements:
Practical and theoretical consulting and design capabilities appropriate to the area of specialty.
Ability to coordinate and supervise activities of professional and support staff.
Ability to manage client relationships and maintain communication with clients after the project is finished to secure possible future work.
Ability to prioritize a high volume of activity across many projects.
Up to 50% travel (variable).
