Job Title: AuditBoard (GRC) Implementation Specialist

Location: San Francisco, CA/NYC

Duration: 06+ months

Description:

About the Team

The Financial Risk Management (FRM) team at Uber, part of the Accounting organization, is building next-generation solutions for risk and compliance. We focus on transforming traditional SOX and internal control programs through automation, integration, and real-time monitoring—enabling scalability, transparency, and agility for a high-growth global organization.

About the Role

We are looking for a AuditBoard Implementation Specialist with deep technical acumen, a passion for systems connectivity, and a track record of implementing API-based integrations and automation across GRC ecosystems. This role is central to our efforts to modernize SOX compliance by enabling seamless interoperability between our GRC tool (AuditBoard) and core enterprise platforms such as Jira, Workday, Oracle, Coupa, and ServiceNow.

You’ll play a key leadership role in designing, coordinating, and operationalizing technical solutions that support platform governance, identifying automation opportunities, and maximizing adoption of technology within the program.

What You’ll Do

Platform Administration & Integrations Enablement:

- Lead the configuration and ongoing maintenance of the AuditBoard platform, including setting up the control library, managing hierarchical structures, platform settings, inventories, and user/team permissions at both foundational and administrative levels.

- Customize and deploy WorkStream survey templates, support project launches, and perform critical platform tasks such as data import/export, workflow troubleshooting, and user enablement—identifying and resolving inefficiencies to improve system usability and compliance execution.

- Design and implement integration architecture between AuditBoard and enterprise platforms (e.g., Oracle, Jira, Coupa) using APIs, middleware, and automation tools to streamline control workflows and improve compliance efficiency.

- Serve as the technical lead for real-time control monitoring and exception alerting, defining data flow logic and mapping structures across systems, and staying current on integration protocols (e.g., RESTful APIs, OAuth2, webhooks) to enhance GRC automation capabilities.

Reporting & Analytics

- Within the AuditBoard Platform, design, build and maintain intuitive saved list views and custom reports to monitor data quality, field configurations, workflow status, and surface insights for improving site utilization

- Partner with data engineers to develop pipelines that feed real-time metrics into Tableau from source systems and AuditBoard.

What You’ll Need

Required Qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in financial systems, compliance automation, or technical GRC roles.

- Proven ability to effectively act in the Platform Administrator role in all SOXhub related modules in Auditboard including;

- Dashboard, Controls, Ops Audit, Workstream, Risks, Issues, Reports, and Settings.

- Specific proficiency in the following areas of the tool:

- Setting up and managing a Control Library and hierarchical control structures.

- Setting up and maintaining the AuditBoard environment and system settings.

- Managing user and team permissions at both foundational and administrative levels.

- Creating and managing platform-wide inventories and associating them with control, inventory & issue records.

- Customizing and deploying WorkStream survey templates and managing project launch readiness.

- Completing common platform tasks like data/file export and import, troubleshooting workflow errors, providing guidance on site navigation and identifying inefficiencies to enhance user experience.

-Demonstrated experience implementing API integrations between GRC platforms (e.g., AuditBoard, ServiceNow GRC) and systems like Jira, Oracle, Coupa, Workday, or identity management platforms.

-Familiarity with RESTful APIs, authentication standards (OAuth2), data transformation, and middleware tools.

-Hands-on experience automating risk or compliance processes such as evidence collection, control status tracking, or audit log generation.

-Experience collaborating with engineers, system owners, and risk leaders to execute end-to-end technical projects.

-Understanding of control frameworks (COSO), with working knowledge of SOX ITGCs and automated control testing.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong scripting or data processing skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Alteryx).

Proficiency with Tableau for building automation health dashboards and compliance reports.

Familiarity with tools like Workato, Boomi, Zapier, or MuleSoft for automation and integration enablement.

Previous experience configuring or administrating AuditBoard or equivalent GRC platforms. Experience with similar GRC tools like Fastpath or ServiceNow may provide similar knowledge skills needed for this role

Experience working in an agile or DevOps-driven technology organization.

Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or PMP are a plus.

You’ll Excel in this Role if…

You think like a systems architect and act like a program leader.

You enjoy solving compliance problems by connecting platforms and automating manual processes.

You are comfortable diving into API docs, collaborating with developers, and managing cross-functional delivery timelines.

You take pride in making processes efficient, traceable, and scalable.
