Overview Portfolio Consulting Director - Energy Business Advisory Team at Siemens. This is a remote position based in the contiguous U.S. Our Siemens Grid Software team accelerates and secures the energy transition, delivering reliable, affordable energy across a decarbonizing and digitalizing energy landscape. Responsibilities Lead a team of consulting engineers, economists, and project managers in the implementation and delivery of energy business advisory services, integrated resource planning, energy market analytics, and related economics. Be accountable for PTI’s energy business advisory portfolio of services, client relationship development, near-term and long-term business planning, and strategic development of emerging consulting services. Manage the profitability of the regional consulting business while engaging key clients to achieve business targets. Drive an efficient consulting practice and monitor market rates to optimize billability. Lead talent acquisition, training, mentoring, and development of personnel to deliver consulting services. Leverage relationships with other Siemens units to expand or create new synergies and Go-to-Market strategies. Qualifications Basic qualifications: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related domain, with a combination of technical and business experience in the Energy Sector. Minimum of 10 years of successful energy-related consulting experience and demonstrated growth in Energy Advisory consulting and/or other consulting leadership over career. Working relationships and contacts within the industry: ISOs/RTOs, TSPs, IOUs and/or other electrical utilities in the US. Proven track record of leadership of high-performance teams. Familiarity with North American bulk transmission systems (e.g., Eastern Interconnection, Western Interconnection, ERCOT). Solid understanding of FERC’s regulatory framework and relevant NERC standards impacting ISOs/RTOs and IOUs. Ability to travel 25% domestically and internationally. Preferred qualifications: Working knowledge of production cost modeling tools, as well as resource adequacy tools. Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this position is $142,310 - $243,960 annually with a target incentive of 20% of base salary. Actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
