JOB SUMMARY: The Principal AI Research Scientist is responsible for developing and implementing new machine learning and optimization methodologies as needed for specific models, analysis or products. Will perform at the highest standards in our field and fully support the company's product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with predictive insights gained through careful analysis of company data. Also is responsible for researching and developing products for the company and provide advise and guidance to other team member.
Job Roles And Responsibilities
Coordinate the research, design, building, and maintaining of predictive models in production environment.
Partner with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities to leverage company data and
drive business solutions. Directly communicate with clients for feedback and implementation of products.
Enthusiastically research and experiment with new Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and models and discover opportunities for new AI features, influencing current and future product developments.
Research, develop and implement new machine learning and optimization methodologies as needed for specific models or analyses.
Develop and build cutting-edge analytic systems, predictive and prescriptive models to elevate customer experience, and track impact over time.
Write high-quality, reusable and production-ready code. Interpret and analyze data problems.
Coordinate with Product Management, Engineering and DevOps colleagues in the implementation of models.
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data quality and accuracy.
Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments. Coordinate and onboard new team members.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, And Training)
Must have 7+ years in work and/or project experience applying Machine Learning and Predictive Modeling to maximize outcomes or identify best approaches, in the healthcare/health services sector. Healthcare claims and payor space experience is MUST! Familiarity with Generative AI and Agentic AI is preferred.
Extended work experience in software development and collaboration across teams.
Solid understanding of and experience with relevant theories in probability theory, statistics, machine learning, deep learning, data structure and algorithms, optimization, etc.
Possess a passion for developing method to discover solutions using large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Possess a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
Professional level experience using computer languages (Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
Experience designing, conducting, analyzing, and interpreting experiments and investigations.
Problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, organizational, design, interpersonal, communication (written, verbal and listening) skills.
Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, functional teams and all levels of engineers.
Confirmed ability to handle multiple projects with strict deadlines.
Advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S. with at least three year of relevant research experience) in Operations Research, Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $180K to $190K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
