Job Description: The Federal Solution Architect - Cleared will support a federal agency in Maryland. The role requires travel to on-site meetings 2-3 times a week at the customer location in the Washington DC area. It also requires a TS/SCI with FSP clearance. Responsibilities: Demonstrate mastery within the company in one or more solution domains and understand the customer's technical and business environment. Design complex proposals to deliver and communicate tangible business value. Manage customer and stakeholder expectations to mitigate risk. Review proposals critically, apply market intelligence, and translate functional views into technical solutions. Contribute insights to address industry trends, requirements, and gaps. Lead the development and presentation of outcome-based solutions aligned to customer needs. Communicate HPE’s solutions effectively in customer language, demonstrating alignment with business outcomes. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends. Participate in industry events, conferences, and social media to establish industry presence. Monitor competitive landscape and drive account business planning. Build customer relationships through deep-dive discussions, understanding needs, and advocating technical strategies. Identify technical trade-offs, risks, and remediation strategies. Coordinate internal teams and partners to develop effective solutions. Transfer knowledge to external partners for solution delivery. Identify and nurture new opportunities within accounts. Manage the sales pipeline and participate in forecast meetings. Document activities and share best practices. Engage with senior management and customer leaders to influence and advise. Proactively design solutions to meet customer needs and generate demand. Share knowledge within the Presales community. Education and Experience: TS/SCI with FSP (Full Scope Poly) clearance required Extensive knowledge of customer missions and competitive landscape Advanced degree or equivalent technical qualifications preferred Minimum 2+ years supporting sales and enterprise solutions 12+ years of IT experience, including technical consulting and solution selling Relevant technology certifications (2+ preferred) Knowledge and Skills: Expertise in solution configuration, architecture design, demos, and POCs Deep knowledge of HPE portfolio, solutions, and how to combine them to meet customer needs Understanding of the as-a-service (aaS) business model and ecosystem Ability to collaborate across functions and generate revenue through subscription models Excellent communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills Financial acumen, including TCO/ROI, and business strategy Consultative and value-based selling skills Proficiency with CRM systems and project management Strong resource management and partner leverage skills Ability to design and deliver product demonstrations and walkthroughs Excellent project and time management skills Additional Skills: Accountability, Active Listening, Cross-Functional Teamwork, Customer Experience Strategy, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Industry Knowledge, Long Term Planning, Managing Ambiguity, and more.
