Overview Principal Product Designer, Afterpay Apps – Cash App Join to apply for the Principal Product Designer, Afterpay Apps role at Cash App. This role sits within the Credit & Commerce team and focuses on reimagining how people access, spend, and manage money across the Afterpay apps in the US, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Canada. Afterpay is a trusted name in BNPL, and our apps are a key way customers engage with the brand. The role involves shaping the end-to-end product vision and experience, setting the quality bar, and helping define the future of how people shop and pay over time. This role can be performed anywhere in Australia and the US, with West Coast preferred. You Will Lead design across the Afterpay global apps, from vision through execution. Own the end-to-end customer experience across entire product areas, not just individual features. Partner with product, engineering, research, data, sales and marketing to define strategy and roadmap. Translate complex financial and commerce concepts into clear, intuitive, and trustworthy customer experiences. Elevate design craft and customer impact across core surfaces including home, checkout, payments, and post-purchase. Drive clarity and alignment in ambiguous problem spaces, balancing global consistency with local market needs. Contribute to and evolve Cash App's design system while maintaining Afterpay's distinct brand equity. Mentor other designers, modeling excellence in craft, storytelling, and cross-functional influence. Represent the voice of the customer and push for bold, customer-first solutions that scale globally. You Have 12+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio of whole-product ownership and consumer-facing apps. Proven experience defining product strategy and following through with exceptional design execution. A track record of shipping high-impact, high-quality end-to-end product experiences at scale. Mastery of interaction, visual, and systems design. Experience leading design in complex ecosystems that span multiple geographies and regulatory environments. Ability to move fluidly between visionary thinking and detailed execution. Strong communication and storytelling skills that inspire teams and executives alike. Experience mentoring and leveling up other designers. A passion for shaping the future of money management and commerce for millions of people. Zone-based pay ranges are provided below for U.S. locations, with starting pay determined by skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
