Job Description Summary: Our Enterprise Suite Professional Services Team is seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Modernization Senior Consultant to provide technical support and leadership in creating and delivering technology solutions supporting our Customers’ Digital Transformation. Job Responsibilities: Handle complex project scopes with minimal guidance, collaborating with Customer/SI representatives. Assist in designing and deploying Rocket Software products. Support the implementation of new solutions under Solution Architects’ guidance. Create proof of concept/value analyses and pilot projects. Deliver technical presentations and training to peers. Engage in technical forums and professional communities. Apply subject matter expertise to resolve technical issues. Exercise independent judgment within established practices. Collaborate effectively within teams and maintain good relationships with clients. Qualifications and Soft Skills: 3-5 years of relevant technical experience. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proactive, able to work under pressure. Experience in complex IT project implementations, customizations, or maintenance. Strong analytical skills for testing and defect resolution. Organized and methodical approach. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Technical Skills: Proficiency in two or more of the following: IBM Enterprise COBOL or PLI programming. IBM CICS, IMS, JCL system experience. Relational databases: IBM DB2/UDB, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL. Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems. Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker/Kubernetes. Project Experience: Experience in mainframe application modernization, such as workload migration, COBOL modernization, agile practices, data migration, and DevOps tools, is highly desirable. Additional Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Experience with Rocket Software products like Enterprise Developer, Visual COBOL, etc. Knowledge of mainframe languages/environments like REXX, Assembler, Natural. Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, SAFe, etc.).
