Location: San Francisco (Hybrid, 3–4 days per week in-office)

Salary: $210,000 – $260,000 + equity

What You Will Do

Build and ship major improvements to the SDK Studio, focusing on empowering self-serve users.

Develop LLM-powered tools that simplify the path from OpenAPI specs to production-ready SDKs.

Design and implement public APIs that form the foundation of the platform.

Shape the technical direction of a next-generation API framework.

Collaborate directly with developers at startups, growth companies, and enterprises to understand and solve their pain points.

Contribute to documentation, website development, and other developer experience initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Background

4+ years of full-stack or product engineering experience, with strong frontend expertise.

Deep knowledge of modern web application development (TypeScript, React, Node.js, etc.).

Proven ability to design and build scalable, user-friendly software products.

Strong product sensibility with empathy for developers and a passion for improving their workflows.

Experience designing or stewarding APIs at scale (internal or external).

Track record of impact in high-bar engineering environments (top startups, developer tools, or API-first companies).

Preferred

Experience with OpenAPI and the broader API ecosystem.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing technical blogs, documentation, or engaging with developer communities.

Experience at an early-stage startup or building something from scratch (e.g., a business, club, or open-source project).

Polyglot experience across multiple programming languages.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary range: $210,000 – $260,000 base.
