Overview Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Test Engineer to support a high-profile federal program. This is a short-term contract of three months; follow-on work is possible but not guaranteed. This is a hybrid role, with several days per week in Washington, DC, required.

Responsibilities

Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Perform manual and automated testing across multiple environments.

Conduct QA activities including functional, integration, API, load, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.

Validate application reliability, performance, and compliance with security requirements.

Perform codebase testing and scanning to ensure functionality and security.

Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, collaborating with developers for resolution.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or NACI clearance. (Current is preferred.)

At least five years of professional experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role.

Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.

Familiarity with integration testing, API testing, and performance/load testing.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Additional Information

This is a 3-month contract role with potential extension.

Hybrid work environment: candidates must be able to work onsite in Washington, DC as required.

Pay range: $52 - $56 per hour (W2 only).
