What You’ll Do Lead new business sales development for self-funded employers in the Northern California region, focusing on a strategic pipeline to achieve revenue goals
Build and maintain relationships with major consulting firms (e.g., Mercer, Aon, Gallagher, WTW, MMA, Lockton, Alliant, and others) and with strategic partners (e.g., Anthem, Blue Shield), sharing insights and coordinating on product innovations
Serve as a partner to brokers, consultants, employers, medical networks, and other decision-makers to improve employee health and wellness while managing healthcare costs
Develop and lead RFP strategies that position Collective Health as the best solution based on client needs
Anticipate and address the needs, questions, and hurdles of prospective customers
Use healthcare and benefits industry knowledge, regulations, and trends to craft compelling proposals
Navigate complex buying processes with multiple stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams for a coordinated and effective sales approach
Mentor and learn from sales colleagues across departments
What You’ll Bring (Key Requirements) Passion for Mission: Dedication to improving the healthcare experience in the US, aligned with Collective Health’s mission
Seasoned Benefits Sales Leader: Deep knowledge of health benefits with a proven ability to close complex sales in national accounts, versed in fully-insured and self-funded marketplaces
Established Consultant & Broker Network: Extensive network within national benefits consulting firms and brokerages
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Initiative, creativity, and willingness to take risks; adaptable in the healthcare market
Channel Relationship Management: Ability to develop and manage broker/consultant relationships to drive sales
Communication: Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills; able to negotiate with multiple stakeholders
Influence and Presentation: Experience presenting to and influencing senior leaders
3-5 years of experience in insurance carrier and/or TPA sales
Proven ability to sell to national-sized groups
Bachelor's degree required
Pay Transparency Statement
This is a hybrid position based out of our San Francisco office, with the expectation of being in office at least two weekdays per week.
The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to the salary, you will be eligible for stock options and benefits like health insurance, 401k, and paid time off. Remote Pay Range
$150,000—$150,000 USD
