Your Role
Senior Manager in our Technology practice will interact with business stakeholders to evaluate and analyze business models, processes, and operations. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure that newly implemented technology solutions meet these requirements. You will collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver effective system architecture solutions. Our SAP Manufacturing professionals deliver strategic solutions to transform manufacturing operations, improving cost, efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead engagement delivery and manage client relationships on a daily basis.
Oversee program/project management and ensure engagement economics are met.
Develop resource plans and budgets for complex engagements.
Lead large-scale SAP client engagements or work streams, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and strong business acumen, staying abreast of current trends relevant to the client’s business.
Deliver high-quality client services by monitoring progress, managing risks, and informing stakeholders of developments and outcomes.
Build and maintain relationships with client personnel at all levels to foster collaboration and trust.
Lead and motivate diverse teams, provide coaching, and foster an innovative, inclusive, team-oriented environment while mentoring junior consultants.
Identify and generate new business opportunities by understanding EY’s service lines and proactively addressing client needs, cultivating long-term relationships across EY practices.
Skills And Attributes For Success
On typical engagements, you will understand stakeholder needs and advise on SAP system capabilities. You will initiate requirements gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, complete workflow and documentation, and design functional solutions for SAP configurations and integrations.
Strong technical skills in application functional design and technology requirements definition.
Ability to analyze and map technology cost-benefit scenarios.
Expertise in system configuration design and business architecture frameworks.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
Typically 5–7 years of relevant experience.
At least five (5) years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) in a functional consulting or configuration role.
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and technical writing skills.
Proven experience managing SAP projects or work streams, including oversight of project-based team members.
Knowledge of best practices in supply chain, with benchmarking and advisory experience related to supply chain technology functions.
Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations and new technologies.
Willingness to travel; travel estimated at 40–60%.
Experience in conducting technology cost-benefit analyses.
Familiarity with technology business architecture frameworks.
Skill in training design and delivery.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Prior consulting industry experience.
SAP certification(s).
Experience as a workstream/team lead for manufacturing with SAP.
Experience with at least two full lifecycle SAP ERP implementations (ECC and/or S/4HANA) focusing on SAP PP.
Experience with at least one full lifecycle SAP MRP implementation.
Experience integrating SAP PP with MES and SAP QM.
Hands-on SAP PP configuration experience.
Experience designing RICEF solutions and writing functional specifications.
Experience writing and executing test scripts and training materials for end users.
Knowledge of integration between SAP PP and FICO, EWM, PPDS, PLM, MDM, and Materials Management.
Knowledge of manufacturing operations, preferably in complex industrial equipment, and familiarity with Make to Stock and Make/Engineer/Configure to Order models.
