Overview Security Engineer role at Shipt on the Network and Endpoint Security team. You’ll be instrumental in building secure, reliable, and scalable systems, designing and maintaining secure infrastructure, and developing tools for automating threat detection and response. You’ll work with IT Operations, Identity and Access Management, Infrastructure, and our Security Operations Center. Tools used include CrowdStrike EDR, mobile device management platforms, Prisma Cloud, and Google Cloud security services. Responsibilities Design and maintain secure infrastructure Develop tools to automate threat detection and response Collaborate with IT Operations, IAM, Infrastructure, and Security Operations Center Leverage security tools to strengthen Shipt’s security posture What You\'ll Need to Be Successful 2+ years of software development experience with a focus on secure and reliable systems Proactive security mindset in all stages of the development lifecycle Ability to automate reporting and tasks using security tool APIs and/or scripting (Python, JavaScript, Go, Bash) Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and practices Proficiency with version control tools (Git/GitHub) Experience securing cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure) Strong understanding of network concepts, firewalls, and security frameworks Experience with endpoint protection solutions Experience with SIEM platforms and log analysis tools Commitment to continual learning and mastering new skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Collaborative mindset with an interest in learning from and mentoring peers Work Arrangement Shipt considers candidates located near an office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid — flexible to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office. Example ranges include: Metro Areas of Boston, DC, Seattle, and NYC: $75,900 - $151,700 Los Angeles and San Francisco: $118,657.43 - $151,700 All other locations: $63,100 - $126,300 Please note salary is a guideline and total compensation varies based on qualifications, location, and other factors.
