Hollard’s unrelenting focus on diversity and inclusion, collaborative partnerships, and delivering great customer outcomes is at the heart of its business model, driven by its purpose of “Using our expertise, integrity and humanity to go further, together " Your role Reporting to the Senior Manager Open Claims, the Senior Claim Consultant is responsible for providing product, technical, process and system support and coaching to the Home & Car Claims Consultants and managing a portfolio of Complex Claims (such as large loss, fatality, vulnerable and specialty claims eg. theft). The Senior Claim Consultant must ensure that claims are processed in accordance with policy guidelines, delegated authorities, company procedures and industry laws and guidelines and engage with their Manager when improvement opportunities are identified. Key Responsibilities will include (however, not limited to the below): Deliver support in line with the Hollard behaviours when interacting with Claims Consultants and stakeholders across the business; Putting Customers and Brokers @ the Heart, Enabling our People, Simplifying our Business and Being Risk Aware. Build effective relationships with the Home & Car Claims Consultants and stakeholders to ensure consistency across Claims and the delivery of claims handling and customer service best practices. Provide product, technical, process and system support to the Claims Consultants to enable our people and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Respond to internal enquiries in a timely manner, including technical referrals and requests for information from areas outside of Claims. Support the management of customer complaints in line with internal policies and procedures and legislative requirements. Assist the Open Claims Leadership team with enquires and escalations from Partners. Conduct quality and training spot checks to identify improvement opportunities and communicate these effectively to the Manager. Deliver technical coaching as required to drive improved performance across the team and department. Confirm claim outcome decisions and review decline letters for accuracy and compliance ensuring a high level of quality. About You Strong knowledge of Insurance Claims disciplines, practices and products Strong technical insurance and policy interpretation skills. Including a sound understanding of the Privacy Act, Insurance and Financial Services and the General Insurance Code of Practice Extensive experience in end-to-end home claims management Ability to interpret company policies, guidelines and procedures Excellent communication skills – verbal and written Relevant industry experience required Working at Hollard At Hollard you will be part of a supportive, valued and committed team.
