About the Team Workday’s Financial Services and Insurance (FSI) Industry team’s main purpose is to deliver Workday’s consulting services and build an outstanding customer experience by delivering engaging and innovative consulting services. This includes bringing leading practices to our customers, partners, and employees to maximize the Workday system.

About the Role Job Description

The Financial Services & Insurance Industry (FSI) Senior Financials Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Workday’s Financials solution for our FSI customers and help establish and champion best practices for all FSI deployments. The ideal candidate should have experience within the FSI Industry in General Ledger, Consolidations, Allocations, Currency Revaluations and Translations, and an understanding of financial touch points to Projects, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Assets.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Become an expert in the Workday Financials product suite

Provide FSI Industry perspective for customer business requirements

Ensure FSI Industry best practices are maintained to reflect new industry requirements and trends

Understand client business requirements on engagements

Serve as a mentor for new Financial Consultants

Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday FSI Industry best practices

Ensure the client is referenceable once in production

Participate in update training and events to share product skills with other consultants

About You Basic Qualifications

5 years FSI industry ERP implementations

General Ledger, Consolidations, Allocations, Currency Revaluations and Translations implementations experience

Financial touchpoints to Projects, Accounts Payable, Cash Management and Assets experience

Workday deployment experience

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

7 years FSI industry ERP implementations

General Ledger, Consolidations, Allocations, Currency Revaluations and Translations implementations experience

Other Qualifications

Experience with Workday Accounting Center

Experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including active listening and the ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences

Strong industry knowledge including trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments

Influencing skills and ability to drive consensus with stakeholders

Mentorship skills to foster growth and development

Comprehensive product knowledge of features, benefits, applications, and market positioning

Strong relationship management with clients, partners, and colleagues

Experience gathering and analyzing requirements to ensure project clarity

Strong solutions design skills to address business challenges with technology

Experience in strategic business consulting, market analysis, financial acumen, and planning

Excellent task management and time management skills to meet deadlines

Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities

Workplace and Compensation Details Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The base salary ranges vary by location and may include eligibility for bonus plans and stock grants. Compensation offers are based on geography, experience, skills, duties, and business need. For more information regarding Workday’s benefits, please contact a recruiter. Primary Location: USA, IL, Chicago. Base pay ranges: USA base pay $122,800 - $184,200; Additional US locations base pay $111,100 - $197,300. In Colorado, the range is $116,900 - $175,400.
