MongoDB Professional Services (PS) works with customers on a variety of use cases, from tier-1 banks to startups, solving technically sophisticated problems and gaining cross-stack experience. PS exists to support customers’ vision, accelerate time to value, and drive multiple customer adoption scenarios — from building new solutions to modernizing legacy applications or migrating to the cloud. Our consulting solutions ensure customers get the best out of MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to customer implementations at various phases of the application lifecycle: portfolio assessment, design, deployment architectures, development and build, integration and release configuration, testing, production operations, optimization, and best practices adoption.
• Deliver customer classroom-based training to architects, developers, and operations roles.
• Work as part of a wider delivery team with fellow consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams.
• Build and maintain your MongoDB reputation as a trusted advisor to guide MongoDB and customers into the future.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence the MongoDB product roadmap.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development, consulting, or support experience across multiple industries/verticals.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Java, C#, Python, Node.js, Ruby, Go).
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of enterprise-scale software architectures, development methodologies, and deployment/operations.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• High motivation for a role that combines deep technical work with customer management.
• Confident speaking and presenting in a collaborative customer setting.
• Willingness to travel frequently for short trips to customer sites (up to 20%).
