Every day, our teams across the world bring to life our purpose: to expand the way the world sees beauty by empowering the Extra Ordinary in each of us.We are united by a common goal - to reimagine the future of beauty.The Opportunity:The Senior Director, Social Content & Production will lead the development of all social content from planning, concepting, producing, posting and community management.This role will be a key leader in collaborating and leading across brand marketing teams (campaigns, media, events, PR, partnerships, influencer, etc.) in developing breakthrough brand moments and always-on community engagement.Sephora is looking for a creative-driven leader to bring our social vision to life in buzzy ways. To be successful, the candidate will need to draw upon a history of innovative, results-oriented and big-picture leadership. This role will be responsible for mentoring and developing a large in-house team of multi-disciplinary social content developers and makers. The candidate should be equally comfortable giving creative direction to freshly minted social makers and walking a CEO through a comprehensive content plan. This leader must be invested in making the Sephora social team fulfill its destiny as the most fun environment to create content.Responsibilities:Lead and champion Sephora’s social content ecosystem across all platforms in line with Sephora brand voice and platform best practicesIn partnership with social content and production leads, oversee the development of engaging content (photos, videos, graphics, written posts) that showcases Sephora’s products, services, and cultureDrive innovation in content creation, community building and engagement, ensuring Sephora remains at the forefront of social trends and shiftsUse insights to optimize content strategy in real time and long-termPartner closely with other Sephora marketing teams to ensure social strategies are integrated with larger campaigns and product launchesPartner with data, technology, and customer service teams to drive personalized experiences for Sephora’s online communityEvangelize and advocate across senior levels of the Sephora organization including Merchandising for the Sephora community and its expectations of the brandFoster a collaborative and creative environment, encouraging innovative ideas and continuous professional developmentRequirements:12+ years in social media marketing – experience in a high-volume, engagement-oriented in-house content development is a mustDemonstrated success in creating high-impact social media initiatives and campaigns that drive engagement, brand affinity and business resultsA passion for creativity and staying ahead of trends in the social media landscapesStrong ability to leverage data analytics and social media insights to inform decision-making and strategyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationExperience managing and mentoring a team of social media specialists and makersAdditional InformationReports To: VP of Social MediaTeam Size: 2 direct reports and 20+ indirect reports#LI-SR1The annual base salary range for this position is $200,000.00- $224,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
