What You’ll Do Samsung’s OPC Lab located in San Jose, CA is currently recruiting world-class engineers who share our “Innovation through passion” philosophy and thrive in a fast-pace, results-driven environment. We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer that can help to drive next generation chip making within the OPC Lab. Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time. Responsibilities: Develop resist/etch physical models Develop image/polygon based optimization engine using machine learning algorithms Responsible for testing at function and application level Report issues with clear communication and reports Provide ownership and collaborate with other developers and testing engineers to drive the software quality and performance What You Bring MS in STEM Field with 3+ Years of OPC/EDA Industry Experience or PhD preferred. Experience, skill set and strong background in one or more fields listed below: Proficient in C++ Experience in scientific computation Experience in computational geometry Good understanding of basic mathematical concepts such as vector spaces and complex numbers Debugging skills General understanding of lithography and etch processes Software development experience in optical proximity correction and computational lithography Preferred experience: Machine learning CUDA programming Prior experience with Unix and/or Linux You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.
