Responsibilities Design and develop firmware for advanced image sensor technology. Verify firmware via unit testing and system-level testing. Implement specifications from digital and analog engineers. Develop and maintain internal tools for the firmware team. Create design documents for firmware subsystems. Conduct feasibility studies for future technologies. Review peer code and debug firmware using logic analyzers and debuggers. Participate in system design discussions and review firmware logs and waveforms. Report project status in meetings. Telecommuting / work from home is permitted. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Required Skills Experience with C programming, basic Python, Bash/Shell scripting. Knowledge of embedded systems, firmware design verification, automated testing, and software unit testing. Experience with bare-metal firmware development, ARM architectures, SPI and I2C protocols. Development of state machines, firmware algorithms, ISR, and system event handling. Working with evaluation/development boards, Git, GDB, oscilloscopes, and multimeters. The employer accepts any graduate coursework, research, or experience with the required skills. Compensation and Benefits The base pay range is $184,662 to $210,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
