Verify firmware via unit testing and system-level testing. Implement specifications from digital and analog engineers. Develop and maintain internal tools used by the firmware team. Write design documents for firmware subsystems. Perform feasibility studies for future technologies. Review code written by peers. Debug firmware on board using logic analyzers and debuggers. Contribute to overall system design discussions. Debug digital simulations by reviewing firmware logs and waveforms. Report status in project meetings. Telecommuting / work from home is permitted. Minimum Education and Experience Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Skills Required Experience with C Programming, Basic Python, Bash/Shell scripting. Embedded systems, firmware design verification, automated testing. Software unit testing, bare-metal firmware development. ARM architectures, SPI and I2C protocols. State machine development, firmware algorithms, ISR and system event handling. Experience with evaluation/development boards, Git, GDB, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters. The base pay range is $184,662 to $210,000. Actual salary depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. This position is also eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, paid medical leave, 401k with matching, vacation, education and student loan assistance, paid sick leave, and parental leave.
