About The Role : Our client, a globally recognized multi-disciplinary design consultancy specializing in wayfinding, planning, and spatial experience, is seeking a dynamic and versatile Senior Information Designer to join their close-knit team in their San Francisco office. This role involves delivering successful environmental graphic design and wayfinding projects, collaborating closely with designers and planners across North America. Based in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area studio, initial focus will be on a major infrastructure project, with opportunities to work on high-profile international projects across various sectors. The client welcomes applicants from diverse design backgrounds, including brand and identity design, with a strong interest in the technical aspects of wayfinding. Benefits include hybrid work arrangements, comprehensive healthcare, a 401(k) plan, and more. Key Responsibilities : Lead projects through all stages, managing scope and deliverables independently. Develop wayfinding and environmental graphics concepts, including sign elevations, message schedules, and construction packages. Prepare, issue, and present design documentation to clients. Support wayfinding planning, coordinate with signage vendors, and review shop drawings. Conduct site assessments and collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers. Delegate tasks and lead design workshops. Work with project managers to oversee scope, costs, and schedules. Present project updates to clients and stakeholders. Travel as required for project needs. Key Skills / Requirements : Experience in experiential, environmental, urban, or exhibition graphic design or similar fields. Strong portfolio showcasing graphic, typographic, and design skills. Ability to articulate design choices and collaborate on concepts. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially for map/diagram design. Meticulous attention to detail. Experience in wayfinding signage design and drafting specifications. Knowledge of non-visual communication elements. Familiarity with GIS, 3D CAD, and UX/UI tools.
