Sr. It Project Manager Our IT organization is currently seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA office or remote work arrangement. This is a full time, exempt position. Position Overview: The position offers the opportunity to partner with business and technology leadership at the Hanover while leading a cross-functional team delivering on a multi-year roadmap. You are methodical, have excellent communication and time management skills and can utilize those skills effectively across various business units. Ultimately, the Sr. IT Project Manager is responsible for managing a wide range of technology projects of varying complexity. With your solid blend of technical, and business facing skills, you will successfully partner with areas across the enterprise to lead delivery of projects in their area. In This Role, You Will: Lead complex projects and has accountability for the estimating, planning, scheduling, tracking, management of risk, budget, change management, problem resolution, reporting and communicating Manage multiple projects simultaneously that may include application development, vendor-based software implementations, infrastructure changes, process development, tool selection or multiple combinations of each Have the ability to guide and direct team members and technical subject matter experts through design, MVP, development and deployment of solutions Have strong project plan management experience including work breakdown structures, milestones, dependencies and identification of critical path Have strong experience in managing Agile projects using Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban Have strong experience in managing projects that use both plan driven as well as Agile techniques to deliver successful outcomes Manage project outcomes to ensure implementations are fit for use and purpose and support long term goals and objectives Manage interdependencies within their projects Provide transparency and reporting to overall governance and steering structure Lead the interaction with business partners, project team members, other IT colleagues, and external vendors to ensure clarity of the business problem, outcome and scope and ensures issues and risks are understood and resolved. Be responsible for building team alignment, encouraging team effort and successes, embracing continuous performance improvement through coaching, modeling the way, and developing followership through his/her daily interactions with the team. Manage the vendor outcome through active collaboration and feedback with Program Management and Vendor Management Solicits and applies standards and best practices as defined by the project management Center of Excellence (Coe) and the Project Management Office (PMO) What You Need To Apply: 7+ Years of related experience with project & program delivery (Waterfall, Agile or Iterative, Hybrid) Bachelor's degree with a preference of technology/computer science field or equivalent work experience Familiarization with project management tools such as MS Project, Planview, Jira, ADO, ServiceNow. Strong Business Acumen - Knowledge of P&C products preferred along with experience in managing projects related to Data Platforms Strong experience in establishing governance fit for the size of the project Strong experience in creating resource allocation plans, detailed implementation plans and change management Strong experience in managing budgets Strong relationship management skills Ability to effectively collaborate with business & IT partners and to foster strong relationships with them to aid successful project delivery Strong ability to connect dots and build integrated plans that include business timelines for filings, intersecting IT project timelines and deliverables where dependencies exist, and outside project risks. Someone with an anticipatory mindset rather than a reactionary one. Strong communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills Strong leadership skills that deliver results and align with our CARE values Must eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (IE.
