The Analytics Engineering team provides accurate and up-to-date data tables that form the basis of our most important operational and strategic data-driven decisions. They anticipate data needs by understanding how GTM teams work, design right data models, and reliably turn models into high-quality core data assets in our data warehouse. They drive data model efficiencies and resolve data quality issues at the root cause. This team connects Analysts and Data Infrastructure teams, speaking everyone's language to accelerate delivery. What will I be doing? Data Platform Development: Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines and ELT processes to support an analytics-ready data platform. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to understand data needs and deliver accurate, insightful data solutions. Data Strategy & Governance: Lead data model development, data quality ownership, warehouse management, and production support for critical workflows. Advanced Analytics & Insights: Conduct in-depth data analysis and build models to support strategic decisions and performance measurement. Automation & Optimization: Streamline data collection and reporting to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency. Innovation in Data Infrastructure: Create scalable solutions like unified data pipelines and access control systems to meet evolving needs. Impact Measurement: Develop a strategy and technical pipeline for evaluating research output impact using citation metadata. What skills do I need? Proficient SQL with a preference for well-architected data models, optimized query performance, and clearly documented code. Familiarity with the modern data stack; DBT and Snowflake experience are a plus. A growth mindset and eagerness to learn. Good judgment and strong business and product instincts to differentiate essential vs. nice-to-have and to make trade-offs. Excellent communication skills; ability to tailor explanations of technical concepts to a variety of audiences. Bonus skills & attributes Exposure to Apache Airflow or other DAG frameworks; we use Airflow to orchestrate data workflows. Experience with Tableau, Looker, or similar BI platforms. Familiarity with operational tools and business systems such as Google Analytics, Marketo, Salesforce, Segment, or Stripe. Familiarity with Python. Actual base pay will depend on education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range may change and is subject to modification. Regular employees may be eligible for a corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (OTE) and stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Policies Intercom has a hybrid working policy. We believe working in person helps us stay connected and collaborate, while providing flexibility to work from home. Employees are expected to be in the office at least three days per week.
