OVERVIEW As the Senior NetSuite Financial Systems Analyst, you will own and optimize the client’s NetSuite environment across the entire Record to Report (R2R) cycle. Your mandate is to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of core finance processes while maintaining strict compliance with SOX, GAAP/IFRS, and audit requirements.
Contract role : 6+ months (potential to extend)
Rate : Budget currently getting approved by client and will be posted soon - will confirm before scheduling any interviews to ensure alignment
Hybrid : 2-3 days onsite in downtown San Francisco
NO C2C / 1099 per client requirements - must be able to work W2 without sponsorship
RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the NetSuite R2R SME, safeguarding data integrity, workflows, and configurations to drive efficiency and compliance.
Lead or contribute to implementations, migrations, customizations, upgrades, and cross-system integrations impacting R2R.
Own month, quarter, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely reconciliations, accurate consolidations, and robust intercompany accounting.
Collaborate with Finance, IT, and external vendors to solve issues, identify automation opportunities, and deliver end-user training.
Monitor audit trails, produce required reports, and align system configurations with all audit standards.
Provide clear updates to leadership, flag risks or dependencies, and propose actionable solutions to enhance system performance.
Explore GenAI/agenticAI solutions to streamline reconciliations and other finance workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
8+ years of total technology/finance experience, including 6+ years of hands-on NetSuite expertise supporting R2R functions.
Deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and end-to-end general ledger management, including multicurrency, fixed assets, and intercompany processes.
Proven proficiency with NetSuite tools (SuiteScript, Workflows, Saved Searches, Dashboards) and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated project management acumen and passion for continuous process improvement.
Nice to Have Experience with integration platforms (e.g., Celigo) and adjacent finance applications (Workday, Coupa, Avalara, Salesforce).
Exposure to other major ERPs such as Oracle Fusion Cloud or SAP.
Familiarity with AI-driven finance automation or reconciliation tools.
