The opportunity Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we’re excited to hire a Senior QA Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving quality across both our user-facing platform and internal systems. You’ll work on end-to-end UI and API testing, combining both automated and manual testing to ensure a high-quality experience for our customers. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design, execute, and maintain testing strategies that scale with our growth. Your impact Design and implement both automated and functional (manual) tests for UI and API flows Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium(Playwright), REST-Assured, and Postman Partner with Engineering and Product teams to define test cases, clarify requirements, and ensure high-quality feature delivery Expand test coverage across smoke, regression, integration, and exploratory testing Utilize Jira to manage test cases, track bugs, and improve agile workflows Identify quality gaps in processes and systems, and champion continuous improvement initiatives What You Bring Experience - 5+ years of experience working as a QA Engineer or Software Test Engineer at a B2B financial services, fintech, or SaaS organization Strong hands-on experience with UI and API testing, using both automated and manual approaches Proficiency with Java (or other object oriented languages), Selenium, Postman, and REST-assured Experience writing, maintaining, and executing test plans for cross-functional teams Comfortable working in agile environments Ownership - The pride you put into every aspect of your work is unparalleled and undeniable Superb communication - Intentional dialogue is a superpower.
