Responsibilities
- Conducts research end-to-end for high impact, guiding stakeholders to effective collaboration with research goals.
- Initiates research efforts aligned with Product Vertical goals in the medium- and long-term with a well-informed understanding of the business.
- Formulates programmes of study and knowledge sharing relevant to the strategic objectives of their teams.
- Leads projects that involve collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Accounts for the pros and cons of various research methodologies and mentors others in using techniques and tools for high-quality execution.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in consumer-facing business domains.
- Expert in quantitative research (log analysis, internal metrics triangulation, survey design, response effects, sampling, crosstabs, statistical concepts, etc.).
- Experience with qualitative and user-centered design methods (interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think-aloud usability testing, etc.).
- Comfortable planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research.
- Experience evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors.
- Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to diverse stakeholders using quantitative and qualitative data.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills to engage business leaders, product teams, designers, and engineers (in English).
- Preference for collaborative work in a dynamic, data-driven, and creative environment.
- Proficiency in GDPR, data compliance and ethics in research activities.
