Our Hardware Team is seeking a hybrid Senior RF Design Engineer . You would be responsible for designing and developing RF/Analog systems and circuitry to 3 GHz for TrellisWare's wireless communication products. A typical day might start with designing and simulating a new receiver line-up in your office. In the afternoon you could be working with a test engineer in the lab to verify a transmit spectrum. Responsibilities Develops system and module level requirements and specifications. Designs RF circuits and subsystems. Generates required design documentation. Validates and debugs product performance through test and analysis at the component, module and system level. Ownership of designs from prototype to production lifecycle. Performs other duties as assigned. Develops relationships with team members built on trust and respect. Qualifications and Experience Minimum Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field of study required. 5 years of experience with MSEE or 7 years of experience with BSEE as a RF/Wireless Design Engineer. Knowledge of transceiver design, frequency conversion, frequency synthesizers and PLL design to 3 GHz with tight packaging constraints. Experience with front end amplifiers and filter design. Experience with receive sensitivity, noise figure, and transmit power measurements. Experience with RF Power Amplifier design and characterization. RF Transmitter and Receiver System Design including design for IP3, Noise Figure, Power Consumption. Knowledge of RF analysis and CAD tools such as AWR. Experience with EM Solvers (HFSS, Momentum, Analyst, or AXIEM) and schematic capture tools (Altium or OrCAD). Proficiency in circuit debugging and troubleshooting. Experience with RF and wireless communications and test equipment. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and interact with multiple engineering teams. Strong documentation, written and verbal communication skills, and collaboration skills. Sound judgment, analytical problem-solving, and effective execution and decision making. Change champion and promoter of innovation; strong initiative and prioritization skills. Physical Demands Able to frequently sit, stand, walk, and use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach within hands and arm's length; stoop, kneel, and crouch; talk and hear. Regularly required to sit for extended periods and use office equipment. Able to lift and/or move up to 10–50 pounds as required by tasks. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Salary: The posted range is for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area. The pay range for this position is $115,000-185,000 annually.
