About The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Hinge Health, you will design, build, and maintain large-scale software solutions that directly impact our members’ health outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, including product managers and designers, to deliver new product capabilities and improve the maintainability, availability, and performance of our features. This role supports advancing our mission of transforming joint and muscle care through technology, including the integration of AI-driven solutions to automate and enhance care delivery. Hinge Health software engineers work on small interdisciplinary teams focused on different parts of the user journey.
The Computer Vision (CV) User Experience team integrates our TrueMotion CV technology and develops TrueMotion-enabled features that enhance users\' digital physiotherapy experience. These features use mobile device cameras and TrueMotion to monitor movement, provide performance feedback and guidance, and track progress throughout programs and recovery journeys.
As a Senior Backend Engineer on this team, you will architect and implement robust, end-to-end solutions, including well-tested, performant APIs and data models. You will proactively profile systems to identify scaling bottlenecks and maintain high code quality through thoughtful and constructive code reviews. The team manages the entire stack of our services and applications to achieve these goals. We embrace a continuous deployment DevOps culture and own our production code. Our production systems rely on React Native, React, Node.js, TypeScript, Nestjs, GraphQL, Docker, Rails, AWS, Postgres, Redis, Apollo, and Redux. Our workflow follows trunk-based CI/CD with a strong security/compliance posture (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and CCPA).
