Job Details
Cubic Defense Secure Communications involves delivering adaptive and resilient communications solutions, including Multi-beam, Multi-band, Multi-orbit SATCOM, Software Defined Radios (SDR), and protected waveforms, to address critical gaps in tactical and operational communications. These solutions enable assured networked communications in Electromagnetic Spectrum environments and support the evolution to modern digital communications.
Position: Senior Software Engineer
Location: San Diego, hybrid
Coordinate and develop project concepts, objectives, specifications, and resource needs.
Develop software, code in C++, and design enhancements using Socket API programming in Linux and Windows.
Participate in the design, development, testing, and modification of application software (C++) on Windows 10 and embedded Linux.
Recommend test strategies and apparatus; perform testing and document results.
Develop engineering designs, specifications, and test plans based on customer requirements.
Research and resolve software/hardware and OS-related issues using advanced technical knowledge.
Maintain communication with customers, coordinators, subcontractors, and vendors.
Monitor project status and system performance.
Identify and support software engineering process improvements.
Mentor junior engineering staff.
Perform additional technical responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a Master’s, or a PhD without experience. Experience in embedded software systems, proficiency in Java, C/C++, C#, and familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management. DoD Secret Clearance required.
