We are a team of experienced engineers in the platform org, responsible for the build and release infrastructure as well as self-service tools that enhance the developer experience. Our team brings diverse expertise—from source control management and DevOps to expertise of Kubernetes, AWS, build toolchains, and CI/CD systems. Application developers are our primary customers, and our roadmap is shaped by a strong commitment to improving their productivity and workflows.

At Redfin, the Pipeline team designs and builds the tools that empower development teams to build and deploy code to production quickly and reliably. We deliver consistent, high-performance solutions that support a variety of workflows and scale with growing demands. Because our tools are central to developer productivity, we focus on building systems that are not only scalable and efficient but also fault-tolerant by design.

The Role

As a senior team member, you will take the lead in architecting and optimizing our build and deployment systems that support a variety of workflows. You'll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of seasoned professionals to design and implement innovative solutions—always balancing new feature development with performance, stability, and scalability. Success in this role requires adaptability, responsiveness, and a strong commitment to open, collaborative teamwork. The tools and systems you build will be mission-critical for developer productivity, engineered to be both fault-tolerant and highly scalable. About You

You are a developer with 5+ years of professional software development experience You have experience of driving projects, from design through planning to execution. You are customer focused and excited to build tools to improve developer experience. You are curious and a life-long learner. you’re willing to take risks and champion new ideas. You have experience working with kubernetes, AWS technologies, build tools or CICD pipelines. You are passionate about analyzing and improving availability, efficiency, capacity, scalability, security and performance of services. You are Skilled in debugging and problem-solving, with a focus on designing efficient and elegant solutions to challenges.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable disclosure requirements.

Base Pay Range: $146,500.00 - 198,000.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include bonuses and equity.
