Senior Web Application Developer

Our Client, is looking for a Contractor to provide IT Developer support services.

Scope of Work for IT Developer:

The contractor shall be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to ensure the efficient development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications. This role involves collaborating with development teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing solutions to optimize application performance.

IT Developer Requirements

The Contractor shall have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Strong skills developing application and backend services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Java Script, jQuery, Node.js and CSS, Cloud AWS, SQL, GitHub Enterprise Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl Developing and maintaining web services; experience with MVC, WCF and Web APIs preferable Experience designing and maintaining user interfaces (UI) with HTML, JavaScript, CSS; experience working with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, Node.JS, Chart.js, Bootstrap preferable; UI Ajax. Experience developing and maintaining data in relational databases; heavy SQL experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, performance tuning is required. Proficiency in building web applications using ASP.NET Core, including experience with MVC (Model-View- Controller) architecture. Experience in developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API. Understanding of ASP.NET Core middleware and the ability to implement custom middleware. Knowledge of dependency injection principles and practices in ASP.NET Core. Familiarity with ASP.NET Core security features, including authentication, authorization, and data protection. Proficiency in using Razor syntax for dynamic content generation in views. Proficiency in using jQuery for DOM traversal and manipulation Experience with jQuery event handling for creating interactive user interfaces. Expertise in making asynchronous HTTP requests using jQuery's AJAX methods, and in integrating and customizing jQuery plugins for various functionalities Experience in developing responsive web applications using Bootstrap Proficiency in using Bootstrap's grid system for layout design. Knowledge of Bootstrap components (modals, carousels, navbars, etc.) and customization techniques. Ability to customize Bootstrap themes using CSS and SASS. Other tasks as assigned in support of operational needs.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field

Preferred Certifications:

Certified Software Development Professional (ISC)2 CSSLP – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional GitHub Actions Certification AWS Certified Developer CompTIA Security+

IT Developer Support Tasks

The Contractor shall perform the tasks listed below.

Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas. Install/upgrade software products as required Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of company web site and/or related web applications as necessary Provisioning development environments (local, virtual, or cloud-based) Design, deploy, and maintaining deployment scripts and artifact repositories Automating routine tasks (e.g., code formatting, testing, linting)

Place of Performance

Remote work is authorized under this contract; however, at Client's discretion, contractor may be required to work on-site at Client's facility primarily at the following location:

Security Requirements

The Contractor shall obtain favorable FBI criminal checks and be fingerprinted at the U.S. Capitol Police headquarters in Washington, DC prior to starting work under the contract. The Contractor may need to complete additional training as required by Client to meet cybersecurity, computer access, and content management requirements. The Contractor shall maintain the confidentiality of all agency information.

Clearance: A Public Trust Tier 2 clearance level is required. A background check will be conducted through Capitol Police to access the network.
