ChemoMetec is seeking a dedicated, customer-focused Service Support Engineer based in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will support leading biotech, pharma, and academic laboratories by ensuring the optimal performance of our state-of-the-art cell counting and analysis instruments. You will be responsible for installations, qualifications, preventive maintenance, and ongoing customer support, acting as a trusted partner to scientists and researchers. You will have the opportunity to hit the ground running and get experience working in a commercial setting We will support you in building your career at ChemoMetec and to be the best you can be The skills you gain will form a solid foundation for career growth that can open doors to many future possibilities You will be part of a supportive and enjoyable work environment where everyone's voice is valued We believe that hard work should be rewarded We stand by our 'promote from within' philosophy Main responsibilities: Perform service checks and instrument installations at customer sites/institutions Answer all questions that may occur while on site or communicating with customers Build customer relationships and recognize their needs Identify and execute on sales opportunities with customers Accurately record and maintain customer information in our CRM database Support the sales team with related tasks, as required Upkeep of all current instrument policies and looking to improve them in the future Discrete and confidential with all customer information Travel (up to 25%) out of San Francisco Work effectively from home when not on-site with customers 1+ year customer facing experience (preferred) 1+ year experience with GMP (preferred) 1+ year working with cell culture: primary, cell lines, apheresis (preferred) 1+ year using flow cytometry and/or fluorescent microscopy The ideal candidate: Ability to establish rapport with customers Able to perform tasks independently with little supervision Strong communication skills: written, oral and presentation Can use effective questioning to identify customer needs Self-motivated and uses initiative on tasks Quickly adapts to any situation when problems or issues arise Motivated to travel across various locations in the US and sometimes Canada 11 Paid holidays 15 days PTO Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance from the first of the month after starting Matching 401k plan after first year Company phone and laptop provided We urge everyone to apply as we believe in encouraging inclusion, acceptance, and understanding by employing individuals who bring unique perspectives to the company.
