Overview

Spatial Front Inc. (SFI) is seeking a ServiceNow Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of the ServiceNow platform for a federal client. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, mentor development team members, and serve as a point of escalation for complex challenges. You’ll work directly with stakeholders and end-users to align ServiceNow capabilities with business goals, leveraging the latest platform features to drive measurable business outcomes.

This role is highly collaborative, partnering with Agile/SAFe software development experts to design and deliver innovative ServiceNow solutions that transform operations. Location: Primarily remote (occasional on-site as needed)

What You’ll Do

  • Translate complex input from product and business stakeholders into actionable requirements mapped to ServiceNow functionality.
  • Design and implement ServiceNow process workflows, automations, procedures, and technical standards.
  • Develop ServiceNow tables, flow diagrams, and low-code solutions in partnership with product teams and stakeholders.
  • Design, review, and refine ServiceNow patterns as needed.
  • Guide implementation, configuration, and maintenance of third-party integrations.
  • Provide technical expertise to support new ServiceNow functionality rollouts.
  • Maintain a holistic view of ServiceNow architecture at both strategic and detailed levels.
  • Document ServiceNow architecture for internal use and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to Agile/SAFe development practices, including effort estimation and system complexity analysis.
  • Support ServiceNow software releases through configuration tasks and feature delivery.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience, including process automation (orchestration), client scripts, UI actions, scheduled jobs, business rules, data imports, custom apps, and integrations (SOAP, REST).
  • 5+ years of web development experience, including X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, jQuery/Angular, and at least one back-end technology (JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or Java).
  • Strong domain expertise across ServiceNow applications: Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Hardware & Software Asset Management, Integrated Risk Management (IRM), and Performance Analytics.
  • Experience implementing Security Operations (SecOps) in ServiceNow, integrating incident data from security tools with intelligent workflows and automation.
  • Solid background in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis and system design.
  • Experience implementing systems using Agile/SAFe methodologies.
  • Ability to synthesize multiple project components in large-scale environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical designs and present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including senior business leaders.

Additional Information

  • Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Background checks may include Criminal History, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Certifications, and Credit History. (Public Trust investigations typically take 4–8 weeks and require fingerprinting.)
  • Salary: $110,000 – $185,000 annually. SFI maintains broad salary ranges to account for variations in skills, experience, market conditions, and location.
