Solution Architect

Position summary:
The Technology department is responsible for the Development, Realization, and Implementation of the strategic Digital Product Roadmap for Rainforest Alliance, including all supporting Technology processes, for all Global Business Initiatives and Assurance programs.
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect who will review requirements/user stories, propose design solutions, and support technology projects throughout their lifecycle. The primary role involves collaboration with product managers, stakeholders, developers, and designers on options and solutions, specializing in technology, application, data, integration, infrastructure, and security, with effective communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop new propositions and services by aligning technology strategy with business needs and coordinating stakeholders.
Serve as the key interface between Product and Tech teams, providing solutions from internal and third-party sources.
Manage client expectations on a day-to-day basis, addressing business and technical requirements.
Coordinate with DevOps teams on system interactions and new developments.
Design system configurations, documenting technical solutions for business issues.
Identify and document application and integration designs.
Implement functional and non-functional requirements, focusing on system and data integration.
Evaluate new product features and handle vendor software releases.
Identify technology risks and maintain a technical debt register.
Resolve clearly defined problems with appropriate solutions.
Ensure system designs meet requirements and assess change impacts from an end-to-end perspective.
Track technical issues and discuss design changes in architecture boards.
Travel to other sites as needed.
The person:
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, APIs, DevOps, and security best practices.
Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, SAFe) and familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, and DevOps methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
Strong leadership, organization, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to change.
Creative problem-solving skills and a continuous learning mindset.
Self-motivated with good time management and understanding of business complexities.
High emotional intelligence and resilience to manage uncertainty and change.

Range (excluding NY and DC): $63,655 - $90,906
New York: $75,605 - $108,007
Washington DC: $73,180 - $104,542
