Overview Solutions Architect at Swiftly, Inc. Swiftly is on a mission to help cities move more efficiently. We are the leading transit data platform for agencies to share real-time passenger information, manage day-to-day operations, and improve service performance. Swiftly serves over 180 transit agencies in 11 countries and focuses on improving on-time performance and passenger information accuracy. This role is part of the Solutions Engineering team within the Sales organization, collaborating with Account Managers and Account Executives to demonstrate value and ROI for Swiftly products.
Location: United States, with flexibility for many locations. Visa sponsorship is not available. Salary range for this role: approximately $100,000 to $180,000 base salary plus variable compensation. This range is influenced by role leveling, experience, and geographic location within the United States.

Responsibilities Act as subject matter expert for transit in-vehicle technology, advising agencies and internal teams to ensure Swiftly customers succeed
Develop deep expertise in Swiftly’s platform—in product, data, integrations, architecture, and partnerships—and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Support the full sales and deployment cycle with agencies for in-vehicle technology solutions, including reviewing existing conditions, solutions design, procurement, deployment, and ongoing customer success
Partner with Sales and Customer teams to design technically sound proposals, pricing models, and deployment plans
Work with the Product team to influence in-vehicle software architecture and third-party technology partnerships
Share learnings and best practices across Swiftly, identifying pain points and improvements
Lead strategic engagements with agencies, shape solution strategy, understand customer use cases, and capture insights to inform Swiftly’s roadmap and approach
Establish scalable processes to streamline in-vehicle technology deployments and ensure consistency across agencies
Build strong relationships with clients and partners, providing trusted technical expertise and guidance throughout the customer journey
Represent Swiftly externally, advocating for modern transit technology best practices and presenting at conferences and industry events
Qualifications Passionate about transit with 5+ years of experience working at or with mid- to large-sized transit agencies
Deep knowledge of transit operations, planning, and technology, with at least 3+ years of experience deploying or overseeing in-vehicle systems
Customer-focused, with a track record of delighting agencies through clear communication, accountability, and a commitment to their success
Experienced collaborator, skilled at coordinating multiple partners and suppliers to deliver a seamless customer experience while managing surprises effectively
Strong communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly language in both written and verbal formats
Highly organized project manager, capable of leading multiple complex projects and coordinating across several departments and agencies simultaneously
Creative and relentless problem-solver, skilled at demonstrating value and owning issues through resolution even in ambiguity
Comfortable with ambiguity, leveraging business knowledge and available resources to build clarity and momentum
Confident public speaker, effective at engaging both technical and non-technical audiences

Travel note: Swiftly employees can generally expect to travel 1–2 times a year for in-person company or team offsites. Attending in-person is expected and encouraged; exceptions may be considered. Customer-facing roles may travel more frequently.
