Job Title: Sr. Government Healthcare Financial Consultant
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Government Healthcare Consulting team (GHSC) at Mercer.
The Sr. Government Healthcare Financial Consultant partners with state governments to examine financial reports to understand emerging Medicaid healthcare experiences and the financial performance of managed care organizations. The role involves interacting with credentialed actuaries and financial executives to ensure Medicaid funds are utilized efficiently. We specialize in helping government-sponsored programs become more efficient purchasers of health services, bringing critical thinkers to address complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients and project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables; develop essential project documents, including budgets and work plans.
Maintain regular communication with clients to review project status and expectations; provide expertise to resolve potential problems; manage project scope, budget, and timelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
At least 5 years of healthcare financial analysis experience, including financial modeling or rate setting
Ability to lead large teams, projects, and initiatives in a dynamic environment
Advanced skills in MS Office
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Medicaid programs (strongly preferred)
