Sr. Manager - Risk & Identity Solutions, Strategy & Business Operations Visa’s Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS) team is seeking a strategic and versatile Sr. Manager to support our Strategy & Business Operations team across a range of strategy, content, and planning activities. This newly created role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong business acumen, a passion for storytelling, and a desire to make a tangible impact in reducing financial crime and shaping the future of identity solutions.
You will lead and support key strategic initiatives, develop compelling narratives, and ensure RaIS leadership is equipped with the insights needed to drive growth. The role blends strategic thinking, content development, market intelligence, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Lead and support workstreams related to long-range strategy development, portfolio diagnostics, and growth opportunity assessments (organic and inorganic).
Construct and maintain a coherent view of market opportunities by segment and region, incorporating competitive intelligence, customer insights, and emerging trends.
Support integration of product capabilities from acquisitions and partnerships.
Content Strategy & Communications
Develop executive-level presentations, thought leadership, and strategic narratives that articulate Visa’s role in combating financial crime and advancing identity solutions.
Tailor messaging for diverse audiences including senior executives, technical teams, and external clients.
Craft compelling, insight-driven content that translates complex market dynamics into clear, actionable narratives.
Market Intelligence & Analysis
Stay current on competitor activity, regulatory developments, academic research, and broader Visa initiatives.
Perform ad-hoc analysis and synthesize data from multiple sources to support decision-making.
Operations & Execution
Optimize operational processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Define and track key performance metrics to measure success of initiatives.
Manage day-to-day project activities to meet milestones and timelines.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate across matrixed teams including product, marketing, client-facing teams, and senior leadership.
Support RaIS senior leadership in developing thought leadership for internal and external forums.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
9 or more years of work experience in strategy, content development, consulting, or business operations, with a Bachelor’s Degree. (Masters Preferred)
Experience in the payments industry, financial services, risk, identity, or cybersecurity.
Prior exposure to build/buy/partner analysis and growth strategy development

Additional Information Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 159,100.00 to 230,900.00 USD per year. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
