Backed by a major global tech & commerce group, the company is doubling its AI/ML squads from 3 to 7 this year, creating senior roles in data science and engineering. Role Summary As a Staff Data Scientist , you will lead modelling projects in personalisation, recommender systems, GenAI, and trust & safety. You’ll partner with MLEs to take models from experimentation to production, drive experimentation strategies, and mentor other DSs to raise the technical bar. Key Responsibilities Lead modelling for recsys, personalisation, and ranking models Partner with engineering to deploy production-ready ML systems Drive experimentation and optimisation of key metrics (CTR, conversion, trust scores) Mentor DSs and set modelling best practices across squads Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite (Bay Area, CA) Stack: Python, PyTorch, Spark, Databricks, GCP/AWS Interested?
