Overview Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an individual to lead, plan, synthesize ambiguous or conflicting requirements, and perform the architecture, design, verification, and performance analysis for Digital Signal Processor (DSP) development across Qualcomm Mobile, Machine Learning, Automotive, IoT, and other products. The role determines processor architecture, micro-architecture, logic design, verification, and all performance and power aspects. It applies high-performance microprocessor design concepts including multi-core, multi-threaded, out-of-order, cache memory, high-speed ALU, and advanced low power design. It evaluates all aspects of the design process from instruction set architecture to implementation and may require a custom instruction set to achieve industry-leading results in machine learning and modem. Tools and techniques are used to evaluate design tradeoffs and verify design correctness, including architectural simulators, digital design simulators and emulators, test generators, and design synthesis. The role acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan. Telecommuting permitted. Qualifications Education: Will accept a Master’s Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of related occupation experience. Will also accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and seven (7) years of progressive experience in a related occupation.
