Contribute to the vision, strategy, and execution of high-impact Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives across product areas, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Design and implement scalable ML systems as production-grade Python services, while collaborating closely with engineering, product, design, and data teams to bring intelligent features to life. Perform AI feasibility assessments and technical discovery, shaping the product roadmap by identifying transformative opportunities and advocating for data-driven innovation. Stay current with advancements in AI/ML research and educational technology, evaluating emerging techniques and tools to inform technical work and contribute to forward-looking development efforts. Design and conduct rigorous experimentation to evaluate and optimize model performance, using advanced techniques in ML, data science, and statistical analysis. Contribute technical insights and apply established best practices in ML/AI development, supporting a collaborative and continuously improving engineering environment. Provide input into architectural and organizational decisions beyond your immediate team, contributing to the technical roadmap and long-term vision for ML/AI across the company. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 4 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to Quizlet, Inc. at 123 Townsend Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107. Salary: $194,834 - $241,913 per year. Minimum Requirements / Qualifications Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or similar role working with ML including ML models, framing, and Natural Language Processing. Must have: 5 years of Python experience and working with Large Language Models (including GPTs); 5 years in a cross-functional team environment conducting ML-driven research shaping product roadmaps; 5 years using ML libraries and deep libraries (scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, scipy, TensorFlow) and SQL to access and analyze data; 2 years building personalized recommendation systems using computer vision, natural language processing, or ranking; 2 years performing SQL, BigQuery, and Google Cloud Platform ML.
