The product is helping to make the housing market more stable, equitable, and efficient. The company has about 29 employees and 15 engineers. It has raised series A funding, and has runway through 2026. Revenues have been rapidly growing (70% year over year) and the company is on pace to reach profitability by early to mid 2025. The company will pay up to $260k plus equity which could be lucrative. Job Responsibilities: - Designing and planning reliable and scalable solutions for the SaaS application which serves the real estate space. - Working independently or as part of a small team. - Depending on your preference, you could be leading 1-3 engineers (project leadership rather than people management). - The tech stack would be about 95% Go, with some Python, React, and TypeScript. The company does not require experience in all of those technologies; it seeks candidates who are language agnostic and interested/able to learn whatever languages or technologies are needed. - The job would be at least 90% backend, and the right candidate for this job would be someone who may prefer backend work and is best at that, but is fine doing whatever else is needed, whether it's doing something with ML models or AWS or some UI. Qualifications: - Startup experience. - At least 7 years of professional experience (ideally 10-20) owning large server side projects with a strongly typed language. - Ability to solve complex engineering problems in a startup environment. - Language agnostic and willing to learn (if necessary) and primarily use Go. Strong in at least one of: Go, Kotlin, Java, C#, Rust, C++, Scala. - Interested in solving problems in the best way, considering all approaches, rather than being dogmatic about certain approaches. - Experience successfully leading significant multi-person projects. - Ability to coach and support other developers. - Interest and ability to work anywhere in the stack - from operations to the UI. Nice to have: - Experience working on a SaaS platform. - Skills across the stack in thing such as DevOps, machine learning, Python, React, TypeScript.
