About the Role As a TPM for VnV and Release at DoorDash Labs, you will play a key role within the engineering team as we scale last-mile deliveries using autonomy.
You will report to the manager of our Program Management team and collaborate daily with operations, hardware, service, software, autonomy, safety, and testing teams. This role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence 1-2 days per week.
Responsibilities Develop and manufacture autonomous delivery robots
Collaborate with Autonomous Software and testing teams in the Bay Area
Enhance VnV and Simulation methodologies, pipelines, and infrastructure as we expand our operational design domain (ODD) and fleet
Manage the VnV and software release processes for public roads
Drive autonomy features from requirements to validated public-road readiness
Coordinate with leaders and engineers across Product, DevOps, Hardware, Software, Firmware, Controls, AI, and Operations to plan, track, and resolve issues
Qualifications B.S., M.S., or PhD. in engineering fields such as robotics, mechanical, electrical, or computer science
8+ years of industry experience in engineering and program management
Deep understanding of autonomy feature validation in simulation, closed course testing, and public road testing
Experience scaling VnV frameworks and infrastructure
Knowledge of the software development life cycle
Proven success managing complex, cross-functional programs with ambiguity and on-time delivery
Ability to communicate technical and program status effectively to executive leadership
Familiarity with program management tools like Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet/MS Project, and Google Workspace
