Overview
The Suspense Management Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and resolution of financial transactions held in suspense accounts. This role supports operational efficiency, compliance, and customer experience by researching, validating, and clearing suspense items across various business units and systems.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze suspense data and policy trends to identify actionable insights.
- Provide strategic guidance to business partners to facilitate timely clearance of suspense items.
- Audit outputs for accuracy and ensure alignment with compliance standards.
- Identify and prioritize updates to SOPs resulting from CLEAR project enhancements.
- Collaborate with technical writers and subject matter experts to ensure timely documentation and implementation of procedural changes.
- Monitor and reconcile suspense accounts across operational units to ensure prompt and accurate resolution of outstanding items.
- Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Claims, and Policy Administration—to resolve issues effectively.
- Design and maintain dashboards to track suspense trends, volumes, and resolution timelines.
- Analyze data to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to minimize future suspense occurrences.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to enhance system capabilities.
Education And/or Experience And Skills
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in financial operations, accounting, or transaction processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Workday, Blackline).
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with suspense account reconciliation and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ACH and check return processes.
- Exposure to automation tools and reporting dashboards.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities.
Location: West Chester, PA; New York, NY (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office).
