We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AWS Networking Engineer to join our cloud practice for a 5-month term. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS networking services and a strong foundation in network design, automation, and security. This role is critical in designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud network architectures to support enterprise applications and services. Req.#851764302 #LI-DNI Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage complex AWS network architectures including VPCs, subnets, route tables, NACLs, and security groups
Configure and maintain key AWS network services such as Route 53, CloudFront, ALB/NLB, and Global Accelerator
Manage secure connectivity solutions like Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPNs, and Transit Gateways
Collaborate with security teams to implement WAFs, IDS/IPS, and other cloud-native security measures
Monitor network health, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize performance across all environments
Automate network provisioning and management using tools such as AWS CDK (TypeScript), Terraform, and Python
Work with development teams to ensure cloud network architectures support application performance and scalability
Document all network topologies, configurations, standards, and procedures
Continuously evaluate emerging AWS networking services and incorporate best practices into current solutions
Support incident response and participate in root cause analysis for network-related outages
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field—or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with 3+ years focused on AWS networking
Proficiency in AWS services like VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPN, Transit Gateway, Load Balancers, and CloudFront
Strong foundation in networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, and VPNs
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using AWS CDK (TypeScript) and Terraform
Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar for automation and tooling
Familiarity with network monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs)
Strong grasp of network security practices and compliance standards
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and thrive in cross-functional team environments
