About The Role In this role, you will lead the development of our Ruby on Rails and Elixir systems and shape our e-commerce strategies, particularly in pricing and online retail. Your leadership will guide a team of engineers toward implementing innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. This position is well-suited for individuals with a strong background in e-commerce, distributed systems, and an understanding of the complexities of pricing in the online retail space.

What you get to do everyday
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in designing and implementing high-quality software solutions.
Lead the engineering efforts in our e-commerce platform, focusing on scalability, user experience, and pricing strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, ML team, and marketing, to develop and implement effective online pricing models.
Oversee the development and maintenance of our core systems built on Ruby on Rails and Elixir, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to explore new technologies and practices.
Work cross-functionally with various teams to align engineering activities with broader company objectives.
What you bring to the role Minimum Requirements:
3+ years of managing high performing engineering teams.
Proven track record in managing and scaling distributed, public cloud-native systems and services.
Hands-on experience in collaborating with machine learning teams.
Strong understanding of relational database systems (MySQL or PostgreSQL preferred).
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of engineers.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in developing and managing online pricing services and systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases and their application in large-scale environments.
Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
A passion for sustainable fashion and technology’s role in this sector.

The expected salary range for this role is $194,499.00-$216,109.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
