Your key responsibilities In this role, you will actively participate in project teams, tackling high-level strategic challenges, including corporate strategy and transaction execution. The role offers a diverse experience, from formulating growth strategies to conducting due diligence and driving organizational change, providing a unique insight into the operations of renowned global brands. As a Summer Consultant, you will develop work plans, conduct analyses, synthesize findings, and manage team members. You will perform secondary research using various sources and execute different analyses such as customer segmentation and market sizing to inform strategic recommendations. The role involves mastering new skills across industries, supporting client teams, and staying updated with industry trends to identify risks and opportunities. You will also support financial analysis activities, including budget management and tracking, as well as review business plans and financial models to discern key drivers. Lastly, you will be responsible for creating and delivering effective project plans for transaction strategy and execution. Skills and attributes for success To qualify for the role, you must have A predicted MBA degree from a leading business school, or a breadth and depth of equivalent and relevant work and educational experience Proficiency in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites; a driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations Ideally, you will have 2+ years of full-time experience exemplified through a record of achievement with previous employer(s) Outstanding academic performance, including coursework relevant to the position, such as quantitative courses in finance, mathematics, business, economics, biologic sciences, computer science or engineering A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word The ability to conduct detailed analysis (using both client data and external information) on products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities The ability to assess complex situations and business problems to formulate potential solutions for our clients Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot The ability and the confidence to establish meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines __________ What we offer you At EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences. The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $3,500 per week. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
