Role Responsibilities
Corporate communications strategy
Develop and lead a global corporate communications strategy aligned with business objectives, strategic priorities, and brand positioning.
Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on high-profile communications matters and reputation risk.
Help champion and activate the corporate brand through storytelling, campaigns, and narratives that reinforce the company’s purpose and values.
External communications, PR, and media relations
Develop and execute PR and media strategies to elevate the company’s visibility across business, trade, and technology press.
Lead proactive and reactive media engagement across global markets to shape public perception and manage media narratives.
Cultivate strong relationships with top-tier and relevant trade media outlets, industry influencers, and thought leaders.
Draft and/or manage press releases, media statements, blog posts, and op-eds.
Support executive visibility through speaking engagements, thought leadership, and interview preparation.
Executive & financial communications
Develop executive messaging platforms, speeches, talking points, and thought leadership for the CEO and executive leadership team (ELT).
Partner with Finance and Legal teams on corporate/earnings announcements, Board reports, and any related financial disclosures.
Internal communications
Oversee internal communication strategies and programs that inform, align, engage, and inspire employees across regions, functions, and service lines.
Partner with HR and leadership to develop messaging for key internal programs, events, and change initiatives.
Ensure consistent messaging and clarity of purpose throughout organizational change communications, strategy rollouts, and cultural or employee engagement initiatives.
Establish and oversee deployment of an effective internal communications platform and cadence that drives an enhanced employee experience across channels and events (e.g., newsletters, intranet, town halls, in-office activations.)
Issues & crisis management
Anticipate, prepare for, and lead the communications response to reputational issues or crises.
Support senior managers and leaders with talking points to effectively handle internal and/or external issues.
Develop holding statements, media responses, and employee communications in close coordination with Legal, Risk & Compliance, HR, and executive leadership.
Assist in managing sensitive or high-impact communications, including crisis response, organizational changes, and public issues.
Leadership & collaboration
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of PR, media, and internal communications professionals.
Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
Demonstrate a collaborative mindset and an ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, functions, C-suite, and service lines
Budget management, measurement & reporting
Manage within agreed budgets, and maintain tight oversight of vendor (agency) costs and deliverables.
Track share of voice, media coverage, campaign performance, and sentiment across key stakeholders.
Provide regular reporting and insights on external and internal communications to leadership to inform strategy and planning.
Qualifications
20+ years of progressive communications experience, including leadership of a high-performing global team.
Proven track record managing complex, high-stakes communications in public or private companies.
Experience in professional services, technology, or highly regulated industries preferred.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats and audiences.
Strong executive presence and ability to advise and influence senior leaders.
Crisis communications experience with calm, decisive leadership under pressure.
Global perspective and ability to navigate cultural nuance in messaging.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Preferred Skills
Experience aligning communication strategies with brand, marketing, and investor relations goals.
Experience leading communications for events such as M&A, leadership changes, key company announcements, product launches.
Proficiency in using digital platforms, social media, and employee engagement tools for storytelling and internal communication.
Ability to manage communications across multiple languages and regions through centralized messaging frameworks and communication workflows.
Familiarity with corporate governance and regulatory disclosure frameworks

Additional Information
Location: U.S.- candidates located in/close to major business centers including Chicago, London, New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C.
Compensation Range: $ 161,300-$300,000
Employment Type: Full Time
Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote
Some in-region and international travel may be required.
