Are you passionate about disaster response and community resilience? Do you want to help build strong, diverse teams to support the American Red Cross’s mission across the Bay Area? We’re seeking two Volunteer Recruitment Partners to help lead outreach and onboarding efforts for our San Francisco and Santa Clara Disaster Cycle Services teams!
About the Role:
As a Volunteer Recruitment Partner, you will work alongside our Volunteer Recruitment Manager, Disaster Program Manager, Engagement Partner, and other key stakeholders to recruit and support volunteers into impactful roles such as sheltering, disaster action teams (DAT), mass care, and more.
You will play a critical role in:
Supporting local recruitment initiatives tailored to your assigned county.
Attending Disaster Cycle Services team check-ins to stay updated on needs.
Representing the Volunteer Recruitment function in key meetings.
Assisting with new volunteer onboarding in coordination with our Engagement team.
Participating in strategy sessions to meet county-specific recruitment goals.
Supporting community outreach efforts, virtual and in-person (when applicable).
Ideal Candidate:
Based in or familiar with San Francisco or Santa Clara County.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Passionate about community engagement, DEI, and disaster preparedness.
Available to support this role for 6 to 12 months, with flexible hours (~5–10 per week).
